Tues. 8/1 Tapas in Burbank (over 30 small plates to share with friends 4pm- 9pm)

Huevos ala Frontera – two sopes (corn masa cups) filled with refried black beans and poached eggs.  Topped with our famous poblano cream sauce, diced tomato and chorizo.  Mexican breakfast at its best! 8.99

Wed. 8/2  *Breaded Eggplant Parmesan Sandwich – Italian breaded eggplant on French bread with mozzarella, marinara, and roasted peppers and onions.  Reg 9.99 | Dlx 12.99

Thurs. 8/3  *Summer Garden Pasta– Homemade pasta tossed with fresh cherry tomatoes, freshly picked basil, garlic and olive oil, tossed with fresh grated parmesan cheese and grilled zucchini and yellow squash. 12.99

Soup: *Mixteca Soup- Mexican veggies with zucchini, squash blossoms, tomato corn and purslane greens

Fri. 8/4  Barbacoa De Puerco – from Chiapas, Mexico, where they add a special herb hoya santa (an anise-.  flavored herb).  Slow cooked and served with a spicy tomato salsa, rice and refried black beans. 13.99

Alambre de Res –Allen Bros  filet mignon chunks grilled on skewers with, zucchini, yellow squash, onions and shishito peppers. Served with black bean rice and an ancho-wild mushroom sauce. 18.99

Soup: Caldo Guisado – a spicy mexican beef soup

Sun. 8/6   Chicken Fried Steak – thin sliced breaded steak on a bed of mashed potatoes, topped with our chicken-sage gravy.  Served with a side of our quick sauteed veggies. 13.99  

Soup: Borracho Bean – beans, tomato, jalapeno, garlic, bacon and beer  

Mon. 8/7  Smoked Turkey Dinner – slow smoked turkey served with our awesome shrimp and andouille sausage cornbread stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, Cajun green beans, and homemade sage gravy. 13.99

Soup: Cream of Chicken Chipotle – a cream soup with grilled chicken breast and spicy chipotle peppers

Tues. 8/8  Vietnamese Bahn Mi Sandwich – Your choice of either pulled pork or crispy chicken tossed with a sweet, yet hot Asian-flared BBQ sauce.  Topped with a light fresh Asian slaw and Chinese herbs from Chuck’s garden.  Reg  10.99 | Dlx  13.99

Wed. 8/9  *Garden Veggie Lasagna – Fresh grilled zucchini, yellow squash, fried eggplant, and homemade lasagna noodles layered with ricotta cheese and a spicy voodoo cream sauce.  Served with a side house salad and garlic bread. 11.99

Soup: Cream of Turnip Chowder w/ Bacon

Thurs. 8/10  Chicken Chimichanga – grilled chicken, beans, roasted peppers and onions, and Monterrey Jack cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla and fried.  Topped with our poblano cream sauce, sour cream, onions and cilantro.  Served with sides of rice and refried beans. 11.99

Fri. 8/11 Blackened Scallops – Jumbo sea scallops blackened and served over a bed of rice pilaf with crawfish and Andouille sausage etouffee.  21.99

Sopa de Mole Amarillo – chicken, potato, yellow squash and mole amarillo.  Topped with tortilla chips, Mexican herbs and cheese  

Sat. 8/12   Borrego Adobado – tender rack of lamb char grilled and brushed with a honey adobo glaze served on a bed of peanut mole.  Comes with sides of potato and turnip mashed and julienned vegetables. 23.99  My favorite dish and favorite cut of meat we make!!

Soup: Shrimp and Crab Bisque

Sun. 8/13  Braised Short Ribs – Slow braised beef short ribs cooked in a our smoked au Jus, then the sauce is reduced into a rich peppercorn Demi Glace.  Served with smashed red potatoes and Sautéed greens. 14.99

Soup:  Garlic and Purslane Broth-garlicy chicken broth with purslane greens  

Mon. 8/14 Cajun Italian Beef Sandwich – slow roasted beef in a natural spicy Italian/Cajun au jus on French bread.  Served with choice of sweet peppers or homemade hot pepper relish.  Reg 9.99 | Dlx 12.99

House Cured Smoked Tasso Ham Reuben – Chuck cured the meat to make this ham!  Generous portion of our House Cured Smoked Tasso Ham on grilled rye bread with swiss cheese, homemade pickles and Creole mustard.  11.29 Reg   14.29 Dlx

Wed. 8/16  Chicken Pot Pie – tender chunks of chicken and fresh vegetables simmered in a creamy pot pie filling served in a light, flaky puff pastry crust. 13.99

Soup: Wild Mushroom Tortilla – spicy broth with wild mushrooms.  topped with onions, cilantro, sour cream, and tortilla strips

Thurs. 8/17  Smoked Corned Beef Dinner – people say it’s the best they have ever eaten.  We smoke our corned beef instead of boiling it so the flavor stays in the meat not the water.  Sliced and served with boiled red potatoes, carrots, and braised cabbage.  Served with rye bread and your choice of regular mustard, Dijon, or horseradish. 19.99

Soup: Chicken and Sausage Gumbo

Fri. 8/18  * Cajun Summer Seafood Bouillabaisse – juicy shrimp, crab meat, mussels, fish, corn, andouille sausage, potatoes, and other fresh picked veggies from our garden in a spicy Cajun broth with saffron.  Served with Garlic Bread. 17.99   Light and healthy!!

Sun. 8/20   Cajun Shrimp  Enchiladas – two enchiladas filled with shrimp, Andouille sausage, and Monterey jack cheese on a bed of Chuck’s spicy voodoo cream sauce.  Served with rice and a side salad. 15.99

Soup: Sopa de Siete Mares – spicy seafood soup with clams, mussels, fish, crab, shrimp  in a spicy tomato based broth with a hint of hoya santa

Mon. 8/21  Cajun Chicken Primavera – a spicy Cajun Alfredo sauce with roasted onions, Zucchini, Yellow Squash, and grilled chicken breast over a bed of penne pasta.  Topped with fresh grated parmesan cheese and served with garlic bread. 13.99

Tues. 8/22 Tamale Casserole – large tamale cooked in banana leaves, filled with pulled pork in a spicy tomatillo sauce. Topped with our Mexican style chili, cheese and sour cream.  Served with rice and refried beans. 11.99

Wed. 8/23 Cajun Tortellini Au Gratin – cheese tortellini topped with a creamy Cajun shrimp and crab sauce.  Topped with fresh grated Romano cheese and a side of steamed broccoli. 15.99

Thurs. 8/24  Carne Asada Poc Chuc –Allen Bros. 8-10 oz.  prime filet mignon tail marinated in an achiote rub (Mexican spices), grilled to order and served with pickled red onions, habanero salsa, tomato chipotle rice, refried black beans and a side of tortillas  18.99

Fri. 8/25  Cajun Smoked Stuffed Trout – a fresh Rainbow trout stuffed with crawfish, crab, and andouille sausage cornbread stuffing, slow smoked then served on a bed of Cajun seafood cream sauce. Served with rice pilaf and Sauteed fresh veggies from the garden. 17.99

Soup: Smoked Duck and Andouille Sausage Gumbo -Chuck’s Favorite Gumbo

Sat. 8/26  Filet Au Poivre – classic Cajun/French Steak Preparation.  Pan seared 8-10 oz. Allen Bros. Filet Mignon tail with a peppercorn crust, deglazed with cognac and a 36-hour Demi-Glace.  Served with Turnip and potato mashed and quick-seared veggies. 19.99   This will be an incredible steak dinner I Promise!

Sun. 8/27  *Camarones en Mojo De Ajo—  jumbo shrimp sautéed in garlic olive oil, then topped with a roasted garlic sauce w/ avocado, black beans, zucchini and yellow squash, and grilled green onions.  Served with sides of rice and a super Caesar salad.  15.99  

Soup: Cream of Poblano with Shrimp – spicy pepper cream soup with corn, green beans and shrimp

Mon. 8/28  Oyster Po’Boy – lightly breaded fried oysters on French bread with lettuce, tomato and red pepper mayo.  Reg 10.99 | Dlx 13.99

Tues. 8/29  Fried Shrimp Baton Rouge – fried jumbo shrimp nestled in a bed of Turnip and Yukon gold potato mashed (these potatoes are killer) and Cajun greens, topped with a Creole mustard cream sauce. 15.99

Wed. 8/30 *Jamaican Jerk Chicken Kabobs- Jerk marinated chicken breast, zucchini, squash, onion, and mushroom, served on a bed of coconut red beans and rice topped with our mango salsa. 10.95  

Soup: Habanero Corn Chowder- a very spicy corn chowder spiked with habanero

Thurs. 8/31  Stuffed Prawns — large freshwater prawns (taste like lobster to me!) baked with a crab and andouille  sausage cornbread stuffing topped with a Cajun seafood cream sauce. Served with rice pilaf and sauteed fresh veggies from the garden. 21.99

Monthly Fresh Garden  Specials (all Month)

*Caprese Salad – Fresh sliced mozzarella cheese, tomatoes from Chuck’s garden and onions layered on a bed of mixed greens, drizzled with Citrus-Basil vinaigrette. Garnished with garlic bread toast points. 7.95  W/ Grilled Chicken Breast 10.95

*Fried Zucchini and Squash – right from Chuck’s garden to your plate, deep fried breaded zucchini and Yellow Squash,  served with a Cajun Ranch dipping sauce. 5.99  or quick sautéed with sliced Red Onion, olive oil, kosher salt and black pepper.

*Fried Pickle Medley-pickled green tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, cucumbers, and onions are breaded  in our cornmeal breading and served with our Cajun ranch.  If you have not tried fried pickles they are huge down south. 5.99

*Quesadillas De Acelgas – Quesadillas filled with wild greens, Kale, and other Fresh greens, onions, garlic, mushrooms, fresh corn & melted Jack cheese served with a side of roasted tomato salsa. 4.95

*Cucumber Watermelon Salad – fresh watermelon, cucumbers, red onion and feta cheese tossed with olive oil, lime juice and mint.  So refreshing. 8.95  

*Bruschetta- fresh pesto and sliced tomatoes (our tomatoes are in!) on toasted french bread, topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese and baked. 5.99

Keep Your eyes out for our for Our Grilled Shishito Peppers (mild), during this summer, These are super Trendy and for a good reason THEY TASTE GREAT!  Served with a Oriental dipping sauce. I would put them on the monthly but not sure if my 125 plants can keep up, but they are growing great. I’m excited!
